Des O’Hagan
Veteran Workers Party member Des O’Hagan has died aged 81.
A Marxist intellectual , author, political activist polemicist and founder member of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association, he dedicated his life to class politics.
He passed away in hospital earlier this evening.

really sorry to read this. i met Des several times in the eighties and he was always helpful and engaging. a person who genuinely worked for and cared about the working class.
