A public consultation on proposed legislation to ban hunting with dogs has been announced by the Executive.

Northern Ireland remains the only part of the UK where hunting with dogs remains legal. England, Wales and Scotland already have bans in place and Northern Ireland is lagging behind. Hunting with dogs is still legal in the Republic of Ireland .

The Workers Party has already demonstrated its commitment to banning hunting with dogs by signing up to the campaign organised by the League Against  Cruel Sports.
